CMACE/RCOG joint guideline: Management of women with obesity in pregnancy

The RCOG is launching a joint RCOG/CMACE guideline for the management of women with maternal obesity. The guideline includes national consensus standards based on best available evidence and expert opinion, developed for the Centre for Maternal and Child Enquiries (CMACE) 'Obesity in Pregnancy' project using formal concensus techniques.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for clinicians, managers and commissioners to discuss the guidance and how best they can be applied to develop current service provision and clinical management of women with maternal obesity. The meeting will be interest to obstetricians, midwives, anaesthetists, GPs, other primary care health professionals and risk managers as well as those commissioning maternity services.
